Social program for financing students by state learning grant

The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Georgia has a social program for financing students with state education grants.

The amount and conditions of state grant funding for students studying on accredited Bachelor Higher Educational Programs based on the results of the Unified National Examinations are determined by Government Resolution №534 of 27 August 2020.

The program provides state funding for 13 categories of students enrolled based on the results of the Unified National Examinations:

  • Graduates of a school with the status of a highland village;
  • Students from the occupied territories;
  • Azerbaijani language school graduates
  • Armenian language school graduates;
  • Children of those killed in hostilities for territorial integrity, veterans with severe disabilities or their children;
  • Orphane  students;
  • Large family members (4 and more children);
  • Students who were under state care;
  • Students who have obtained / had repatriate status;
  • Students with disabilities;
  • Individuals with autism spectrum disorder;
  • Rural alumni adjacent to the demarcation line with the occupied territories;
  • Socially vulnerable students (with a family rating score of 70,000 and below).

Within the framework of this program, applications for tuition funding will be accepted only online by registering on the portal http://socreg.mes.gov.ge/  from 9:00 am on September 7, 2020 to 18:00 pm on September 28, 2020.
