Today, on October 29, the Georgian National University SEU, Tbilisi Vano Sarajishvili State Conservatory, Caucasus University and Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University signed a memorandum of understanding.
The project, which will be implemented under this Memorandum, includes the digital transmission, processing and publication of the unique audio and video archive materials at the Conservatory.
The memorandum lays the foundation for a project of national importance, which serves to preserve a unique archive for the next generation. These recordings are an invaluable treasure for studying and researching the history of Georgian traditional music.
The memorandum was signed by Gia Kavtelishvili, Rector of the Georgian National University SEU, Nana Sharikadze, Rector of the Vano Sarajishvili Tbilisi State Conservatory, Kakha Shengelia, President of the Caucasus University, and Giorgi Sharvashidze, Rector of the Tbilisi State University.
