A webinar on: “Opportunities to Increase the Productivity of Scientific Research for Researchers” was held at SEU today.
The webinar was attended by about 90 Georgian researchers from more than 20 Georgian and foreign universities.
PUBLIC LECTURE BY PROFESSOR BRUNO BERNARD
On 22th of January, SEU hosted Professor Bruno Bernard's public lecture on: "How Georgia in the Trouble of Economic Crisis can Export more and Cooperate with New Partners Worldwide".
Prof. Bernard was a Co-candidate for the Nobel Economic Prize 2019 with Dr Samuel Mathey for EZF-EZC, He is an expert in International Trade. Expert for European Commission. Author of 28 marketing and business ethics books translated in 12 languages.

Georgian National University SEU, together with partner universities from Switzerland, Ukraine and Albania, is involved in the international project MOVETIA, which aims to develop and implement a joint study course “Human Rights, Social Challenges and Social Work”.
Meeting on an International Project
The first meeting took place on January 20 as part of the SEU International Project, which is funded by the British Council and supported by the British company Advantage Creative.
Note that the project aims to develop entrepreneurial skills in students, which will be taken care of by experts from the University of Birmingham and Advantage Creative within the planned workshops.
International Department Office meeting with Europuan Partners
On January 20, at the initiative of the SEU International Relations Office, a meeting of the heads of the international departments of various European universities was attended by representatives of universities from the United Kingdom, Italy, Portugal and Poland.
The meeting summarized the challenges and achievements of the past year, planned joint projects including student exchange, joint summer schools and cooperation on grant projects.
Become an interior designer and take an online interior design certification course
Georgian National University SEU Training Center offers an online interior design certificate course.
The interior design course allows beginner designers, students, anyone interested in the field of design, to explore the basic and essential skills of interior design, which will help in a professional way. For further development.
During the course, students will undergo internships in various design studios, attend the construction process, learn about job details, which will help them put into practice the knowledge gained during the course.
The course will be led by Rusudan Tumanishvili, the founder of THE WALL design studio, interior designer.
The Swedish Institute's Scolarships
The Swedish Institute is announcing a scholarship program for those wishing to pursue a Master's degree. To receive a scholarship, the applicant must apply and enroll in a master's program at one of Sweden's universities (tuition is available in English).
The scholarship covers tuition, monthly expenses, medical insurance, accommodation and travel costs.
2021-22 Global Undergraduate Exchange Program (Global UGRAD)
The United States Embassy in Georgia is pleased to announce the competition for the 2021-22 Global Undergraduate Exchange (Global UGRAD) Program. Global UGRAD is sponsored by the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs (ECA) and administered by World Learning on behalf of ECA.
Global UGRAD is open to all academic fields of study, all bachelor students are leigible to apply. The scholarship will cover international travel, tuition, room and board, accident/sickness insurance, a small monthly stipend, and funding for books.
Scholarship-holder student gets awarded
Lia Gigauri, First Deputy State Minister of Reconciliation and Civic Equality, awarded the Dimitri Gulia and Kosta Khetagurov certificates to the top scholarship-holder students from the occupied territories.
Guranda Macharashvili (from the occupied Tskhinvali region), a student of Georgian National University SEU, became a scholarship holder of 2020. In addition to the scholarship, Mr. Gia Kavtelishvili, Rector of Georgian National University SEU, presented a Notebook Lenovo V15 (15.6 Inch) 2020 brand laptop and SEU grant in the amount of 2960 GEL.
Guranda was hosted by SEU Rector Mr. Gia Kavtelishvili and Vice Rector Mr. Goderdzi Buchashvili on the new SEU campus.
Online Lecture Week - Profession – Journalist
From December 21 to December 26, Georgian National University SEU hosted an online lecture week Profession - Journalist. The aim of the event was to increase the knowledge of the
entrants, students and graduates about the current changes and challenges in the field of Journalism, professional standards, practical skills relevant to the work in the media industry.
The following issues were discussed:
• Sports Journalism - Genesis and important aspects of the development stages of Georgian sports journalism.
• Information from open data.
• The challenges a TV journalist faces in the age of modern technology.
• The essence of culture and live text and the extent of relevance of cultural traditions, modern themes and interpretation.
• Coverage of children's issues.
• Coverage of crisis situations.
The speakers discussed these topics in detail and answered the questions of interest to the audience.
The week was organized by the academic staff of the SEU Journalism Program and the SEU Career Development and Alumni Relations Office.
Ole, Ole – SEU starts offering Spanish language courses!
The Spanish Center for Education and Culture Iberia which was founded in Madrid in 2008 and currently actively cooperates with leading Spanish universities and training centres starts operating within Georgian National University SEU.
In addition to learning Spanish, the Iberia Center offers a variety of programs for SEU students, including free travel to Spain, participation in summer schools, internships and workshops in Spain, guest student status, obtaining an international certificate, etc.
