Scientific-research activities at the university are coordinated by the Vice Rector for Scientific Research.
Vice Rector for Scientific Research:
- Develops mechanisms to facilitate the research activities of research units and academic staff;
- Facilitates the planning and preparation of scientific research activities of research units and academic staff;
- Develops the annual plan/calendar of the university scientific-research events;
- Plans and monitors the process of international cooperation for the internationalization of research activities;
- Facilitates the establishment of research units and the proper conduct of their activities;
- Plans and coordinates ongoing science-grant projects within the university and monitors their implementation;
- Coordinates the publication of scientific journals, academic staff and student papers of the university;
- Provides cooperation with foreign educational and scientific institutions and supports researchers;
- Plans and coordinates local and international scientific forums, festivals and competitions at the university to identify and encourage young talented scientists;
- Plans and coordinates relations with international and local foundations in the field of scientific research and provides support activities for academic staff;
- Establishes appropriate mechanisms to encourage academic staff and students to participate in research projects;
- In order to commercialize the results of scientific research, evaluates and studies the requirements of the local and international market, as well as leads the consulting process to obtain orders for relevant research;
- In order to implement the results of scientific research, organizes meetings of academic staff with representatives of the relevant industry agency/organization, including presentation of research results/discussion and their practical implementation;
- Annually evaluates the scientific-research work of the academic staff, develops recommendations for the development of academic research at the university and submits it to the Academic Council;
- Coordinates the publication of the university periodical scientific journal "SEU & SCIENCE".
