On February 10-11, the international scientific conference titled “the European Green Deal and its Political, Legal and Economic Impact on Georgia” will be organized by the “Centre for European Integration Research” at Georgian National University SEU.
According to Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, “the European Green Deal is our new growth strategy – it is a strategy for growth that gives more back than it takes away”.
The potential impact of such an evolution of the climate and energy sector on Georgia’s climate policy and energy reform as well as on decarbonization is interesting to be noted, with special emphasis on the achievement of climate-neutral goals as a leading component of the EU’s neighbourhood, its strategic relations and political dialogue.
The event will be held in hybrid mode, including through the ZOOM platform.
