On December 4, a certification training was held for the academic staff of the Georgian National University SEU Medicine Program: "Artificial Intelligence and Personalized and Precision Medicine" led by Alejandro Pazos Sierra, Professor of Medicine at the University of Coruña. This training was supported by the Culture and Education Center Iberia.
Alejandro Paco is a professor of personalized medicine, an expert in artificial intelligence in the field of medicine, and the head of the Department of Information Technology and Computer Science at the University of Coruña. He is a world-class expert in the field of medical informatics. His more than 150 scientific papers in this field have been published in high-impact medical journals. In a recent book published by professors at the Mayo Clinic and Harvard University in the United States, Alejandro is listed as one of the world's best experts in medical informatics.
Alejandro Pazos Sierra has a degree in Medicine and General Surgery from the University of Santiago de Compostela, a Master's degree in Knowledge Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, a PhD in Medicine from the Complutense University of Madrid and a PhD in Computer Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid. Since 1999 he has been University Professor of Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence at the University of A Coruña (UDC). He is currently Head of the Department of Computer Science & Information Technology at the UDC.
