A presentation of the European Integration Research Center was held

The presentation of the European Integration Research Center was held at Georgian National University SEU on April 14.

Ana Pirtskhalashvili, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research of Georgian National University SEU and Irakli Samkharadze, Head of the Center, Associate Professor, spoke about the purpose of the European Integration Research Center, cooperation with international and national educational and research institutions in various formats; planning / implementation of various scientific activities and future plans. The structure of the Center was also introduced to the audience.

The European Integration Research Center was established on the scientific base of SEU and its goals are as follows:

• The University involvement in research activities;
• Relations with international partners;
• Popularization of research activities;
• Implementation of thematic research projects;
• Generalization and dissemination of research results;
• Improvement of the legislation of Georgia;
• Promoting Georgia’s European integration, etc.

The European Integration Research Center will actively work in the future to find financial sources with both domestic and international institutional research centers, national government agencies and non-governmental organizations.

The meeting was attended by Goderdzi Buchashvili, SEU Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs, Giorgi Ghavtadze, SEU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, as well as various program heads and academic staff.
