“Compliance of teaching-learning methods and assessment system with the learning outcomes of the academic course”

The Quality Assurance Department of Georgian National University SEU and the Head of the Undergraduate Management Program co-organized a workshop on “compliance of teaching-learning methods and assessment system with the learning outcomes of the academic course”.

The workshop was led by Tengiz Taktakishvili, the Head of the Undergraduate Management Program.

The following issues were discussed with the academic and invited staff as part of the workshop:

• Development of an evaluation system within the academic course;
• Involvement of academic and invited staff in developing program outcomes;
• The connection between the assessment system and teaching-learning methods;
• Assessment methods acceptable to students;
• Teaching methods acceptable to students;
• Providing feedback to students (following midterm and final exams);
• Techniques for using the Skills Identification Questionnaire to measure student progress.
