Georgian National University SEU is announcing a vacancy for the position of Head of Legal Service

Work schedule: Full time

Main responsibilities:

• Preparation of draft acts regulating the activities of the University and/or participation in the development of the final version of the acts;
• Legal analysis of draft internal legal acts developed by the University, if necessary, preparation of conclusions to ensure compliance with legislative requirements;
• Participation in drafting and legalization, or preparation of the contracts or other agreements, organizing and participating in the conclusion process;
• Identifying the facts of possible violations of the terms of the contract or other agreements and proper addressing;
• Legal support for competitions announced by the University;
• Reviewing / participating in student / staff complaints;
• Providing legal advice to structural units;
• Protection of the legal interests of the University and its representation in the courts of all judiciary levels of Georgia. 

Qualification requirements:

• Education: Higher education in law (a master’s degree or equivalent);
• Foreign language: English language competency at B2 level;
• At least 3 years of experience working as a lawyer in higher education institutions.
