The closing meeting and reception was held with the participants in the project under the “Media Education Program”, sponsored by the US Embassy to Georgia and WorldChicago.
The US Embassy reception was attended by the representatives of Georgian National University SEU: Anna Phirtskhalashvili, Vice-Rector for Scientific Research and Prof. Tinatin Zakarashvili, Head of Journalism Education Program and a participant in the WorldChicago exchange program.
The Media Education Program, administered by the US Department of State and the US Embassy, has been running since 2019 and is designed to share the experience of American colleagues to the Georgian professors in journalism, as well as to explain the specifics of this very area on the pattern of American media school practices.
The Media Education Program, started back in 2019, was summed up on December 9, 2022. The program was implemented by World Chicago in cooperation with the journalism program networks of Illinois, DePaul, Loyola, north-western universities, Columbia College and Georgian universities.
