On December 17-18, a training entitled “Challenges and Practical Skills Related to the Introduction of the DRG Financing System to Georgia” was held, organized by the Training Center of Georgian National University SEU and the SEU Faculty of Medicine.
Kindly reminding you that since November 1, the DRG model of financing of service groups (DRG) has been put in effect in medical institutions, and it has become vital to consistently understand the tools, advantages and challenges of the DRG model of financing in Georgia to provide better and more effective working processes.
For two days, clinic managers of inpatient institutions, administrative staff related to medical service delivery and reporting, heads of quality management service, as well as representatives of the insurance sector were provided with the knowledge and practical experience as how to perfect the management of medical cases under the state program of universal health care in a enjoyable environment.
The training was led by PhD candidate Maia Maghlakelidze-Khomeriki, expert in universal health care coverage health and DRG operational director of Geo Hospitals.
Following the completion of the training, all participants were awarded a certificate. The training of this very format will be held on January 21-22, 2023, and the topic will also include the innovations implemented following the beginning of the next year.
