On January 28, a meeting organized by the State Inspector's Office took place with higher education institutions. At the remote meeting, the State Inspector's Office presented the prospects of cooperation with higher education institutions.
At the end of the meeting, State Inspector Londa Toloraia and SEU Vice-Rector for Scientific Research Dr Ana Pirtskhalashvili named the winners of the essay competition:
• Nata Sukhashvili (SEU) - protection of personal data of school students during distance learning;
Tamar Vardiashvili (TSU) - Protection of personal data on health during the Covid-19 pandemic;
• Mariam Chikadze (TSU) - Protection of personal data on health during the Covid-19 pandemic;
• Tamar Pachulia (TSU) - Threats of sharing personal data of minors on the Internet.
The meeting was attended by Mr Goderdzi Buchashvili, Vice-Rector for Administrative Affairs of Georgian National University SEU and Dean of the Faculty of Law Tea Jugeli.
The student award ceremony was held within the framework of the essay competition announced on the topic of personal data protection, in which students of all higher education institutions in Georgia could participate. 59 interested students submitted essays in the competition, of which 12 best were selected by the bilateral commission for the conference. All papers presented at the conference will be published in printed and electronic form by SEU, and the authors of the 4 best essays will undergo a 2-month internship at the State Inspector’s Office.
