On March 1, 2020, the SEU Business Continuity Management Team of the Georgian National University SEU, held a meeting regarding the potential threats of the new Coronavirus at the organization and planning for its prevention activities, chaired by the Rector of the SEU.
The SEU Business Continuity Management Team has presented a plan of preventive measures considering all possible scenarios for the spread of the new coronavirus.
The plan was developed on the basis of the "Rule of Implementation of Preventive Measures Related to the New Coronavirus" approved by #296 Order of the Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sport, on February 27, 2020, and the Business Continuity Plan of the Georgian National University SEU.
The plan, presented by the group of SEU's business continuity management, is an important component of introducing a modern e-learning approaches in the shortest period and in compliance with the requirements of the legislation, which ensures continuity of the learning process if delaying the learning process will be necessary according to the government's recommendation to prevent the spread of new Coronaviruses and/or until the alarming condition is not resolved due to the new Coronavirus.
By the order of the Rector, the starting date for the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year was defined March 16, 2020.
