The championship was opened by the Rector of SEU - Gia Kavtelishvili, the President of the Georgian Chess Federation - Gia Giorgadze, the President of the European Chess Union - Zurab Azmaiparashvili, the world chess legend - Nona Gaprindashvili.
The championship will be held in four (12; 14; 16; 18) age categories and 750 chess players from 40 countries will take part in it, and 24 Georgian adolescent from Georgia. The competition will last for 3 days and will be held in 9 rounds according to the Swiss system.
