- Anna Phirtskhalashvili joined the Georgian National University SEU team in February 2020. She is the Vice Rector for Scientific Research;
- From March 2014 to January 2020 she was the Dean of the School of Public Administration and Politics at Grigol Robakidze University, and at the same school she led undergraduate, joint Georgian-German Master's and doctoral academic programs in Public Administration. She was at the same time the director of the Scientific Research Institute of Public Administration and a professor at the School of Law;
- From 2016 to 2020 she was a visiting expert of the Parliament of Georgia, being actively involved in the legislative reform of social work, as well as in the preparation of the law on employment promotion and implementation of the Code of the Rights of the Child;
- Anna Phirtskhalashvili has quite rich experience of pedagogical and scientific work at national and international level. In the winter semester of 2017, Anna Phirtskhalashvili was a visiting researcher at the University of Würzburg, and in the summer semester of 2018 - a visiting lecturer, in the autumn semester of 2014 - a visiting lecturer at Tbilisi State University, and in 2016-2018 an associate professor at Shota Meskhia University in Zugdidi. In 2012-2014, Anna Phirtskhalashvili was an associate professor at the University of Georgia in Public/Constitutional Law, and in 2010-2011 – a visiting lecturer at Batumi Shota Rustaveli University. In 2007-2009 she was an assistant researcher/doctoral student at the (Research) Center for Human Rights at the University of Potsdam and at the same time worked as a visiting teacher at the Georgian House in Berlin;
- From 2010 to 2012 she worked as a senior adviser in the Research and Legal Support Department of the Constitutional Court of Georgia;
- In 2009-2010, Anna Phirtskhalashvili worked as an assistant attorney at the Berlin Bar Association;
- In 2006 she completed an internship in the Human Rights and Humanitarian Aid Committee of the Parliament (Bundestag) of the Federal Republic of Germany and in the Ministry of European and Euro-Atlantic Integration in Georgia.
Education
- In 2003-2008, Anna Phirtskhalashvili was a PhD student at the University of Potsdam, having successfully graduated in 2009, and in 2010 she was awarded a PhD by the University of Potsdam (Dr. Jur.);
- From 2000 to 2002 she studied for a Master's degree in Law at the Humboldt University in Berlin, where she successfully completed and was awarded a Master of Law’s degree by the Humboldt University in 2002 (Magister Legum, LL.M.);
- In 1999 she studied at the Institute of Foreign Languages in Berlin;
- In 1998, Anna Phirtskhalashvili graduated with honors from Shota Rustaveli Batumi State University, Faculty of Law.

Anna Phirtskhalashvili is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles, analytical papers, textbooks and monographs, as well as co-author of commentaries on the Constitution and laws, editor and reviewer of several scientific publications.
