On October 23, an online presentation of the collection - "COVID-19: Challenges. A new global and European social order " will be held.
It should be noted that the collection was published by co-participation of the Georgian National University SEU.
This collection is an analysis of the crisis situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic - both globally and across Georgia. The collection presents the visions of leading European, American and Georgian scholars on the modern world community and its development perspectives.
It is true that at first glance, this crisis is caused by a medical epidemiological problem, but its consequences have affected the society so deeply and comprehensively that it has left no living space (social, political, economic, cultural, ecological) to be missed by this crisis. Unlike other types of crises, which are numerous throughout the history of mankind, the corona-crisis has taken on a truly global character. Thus, it is perfectly fair to assume that this crisis makes modern society an essential condition for the need to rethink and transform the norm of its existence.
This collection includes the interviews and opinions of famous scientists, such as Marcus Gabriel, Slavoj Žižek, Judith Butler, Jürgen Habermas, Warren Montag, Otfried Höffe, Stefan Gozepat and others.
The presentation of the collection will be held at the Georgian National University SEU, attendance is free online, on the Zoom platform:
