At the initiative of the Undergraduate Program in Journalism of Georgian National University SEU, a hybrid training will be held for school leavers on “Journalism - the Art of Telling Real Stories” on March 7, at 4:00 pm.

Speaker: Tinatin Zakarashvili, Doctor of Social Sciences, Professor at SEU, Head of the Undergraduate Program in Journalism.

During the meeting, you will learn about the following topics:

• Main goals of journalism;
• Means of media expression;
• Types of information and their forms of reflection;
• The essence of journalistic text;
• Basic principles of media coverage, news coverage, storytelling;
• Peculiarities of operative journalism;
• The need of verifying the information.

The meeting will also include some interesting and practical assignments for the school leavers.

The meeting will be held in a hybrid mode both on-site at SEU and through Zoom.

The participants will be awarded a certificate and symbolic gifts.

The purpose of the meeting is to demonstrate the role of journalism/journalists and the practical component, as well as illustrate the participation of the media in the process of public development.
