
Public Lecture on the Topic: Legal Framework and New Regulations in Higher Education
On July 2, within the framework of the SEU Career Development and Alumni Relations Office’s project “Continuous Education”, a public lecture was held for students and graduates on the topic: Legal Framework and New Regulations in Higher Education. Speaker: Nino Kholuashvili, Head of the SEU Legal Office. The following issues were discussed at the public lecture: • Legal Framework and Main Normative Acts in Higher Education; • Higher Education Governance and Responsibilities; • Legal Basis of Quality Assurance and Authorization; • The Role of Administrative Law in the Realization of Students’ Rights; • Novelties and Current Changes in Higher Education (2024–2025). The lecture was held in an interactive format, with the involvement of participants and discussing practical examples. After completing the public lecture, a bilingual certificate was issued. The lecture was also attended by representatives of the university’s faculty and administrative staff. The project plans to involve specialists from various fields, which will significantly strengthen the synthesis of learning and practical experience. Interested individuals will have the opportunity to participate in the planned events again, which will support their professional development and adaptation to the labor market.

The award ceremony of the Practical Civic Education Course in “STREET LAW”
SEU hosted the award ceremony of the Practical Civic Education Course in “STREET LAW”.With the participation of students of the Master of Laws program, a mock trial was also held before the ceremony. "STREET LAW" Organized by the Faculty of Law, has been taking place for the 10th year in row. The course is supported by students of the Master of Laws program and is attended by school students from all over Georgia.

Badminton Championship Among Staff
On June 27, SEU hosted an internal university badminton championship, in which staff members participated. As a result of the championship, three winning teams were identified and awarded incentive prizes. The event aimed to strengthen communication among employees, foster team spirit, and reinforce collaborative relationships. Such initiatives are important for creating a healthy and supportive work environment. The sports and wellness event was organized by the Department of Sports, Culture, and Youth Affairs in collaboration with the Human Resources Department.

Admission Guidelines and Criteria – Executive MBA (EMBA) Program
In order to start admission process, the student or his/her representative should provide the following documents to admissions@seu.edu.ge Copy of the passport Bachelor Degree/or the equivalent Application form: https://seu.edu.ge/en/admission-guidelines Motivation Letter: The letter should clearly outline your personal background, relevant experience, and motivation for choosing the specific program. It should also highlight your experience related to management processes. Employment Verification Letter: An official statement from your employer confirming at least 5 years of work experience. Curriculum Vitae (CV): A detailed and up-to-date CV, including educational background, professional experience, and other relevant qualifications. English level proficiency certificate/document (B2). If a student doesn’t have any, he/she is required to write the English proficiency test provided by the university after the successful interview. 2. If above mentioned steps are passed successfully final results will be announced subsequent to the completion of the admission process. 3. After the confirmation: The student or his/her representative should translate passport, Bachelor Diploma/or the equivalent into Georgian language, notary confirmed (two hard copies). One copy of the translated documents should be physically submitted to the admissions office and kept by the university. The university issues an acceptance letter, after receiving the requested (translated and notary confirmed) documentation. The acceptance letter, translated passport and diploma should be submitted to EQE (National Center for Educational Quality Enhancement) - https://eqe.ge/en by the student or legal representative. The student or his/her representative receives an Educational Recognition Document from EQE, this document should be submitted in the university. Note: If the student does not have a representative in Georgia, the university can provide the paperwork procedures to the student. The student will receive the service agreement document including the service fees). 4. The university receives the ministry order. It usually takes 4-5 weeks after receiving the educational recognition document. 5. After receiving the ministry decree, The Students Affairs Department informs the student/representative and requests the payment. 6. The student pays the tuition fee and acknowledges the Students Affairs Department with payment receipt. → iss@seu.edu.ge 7. After the payment the enrollment process starts and the applicant becomes an active student. (takes approximately 2-3 business days) 8. Labor Rights Compass 2025
On June 24, 25 and 26, a certification course: “Labor Rights Compass 2025” was held at Georgian National University SEU for students and pupils. The project aimed to teach students and pupils about the main aspects of labor rights through activities. During the project, the participants discussed and studied important topics: ● The essence and importance of labor rights; ● Effective mechanisms and means of protecting labor rights; ● Discrimination and pre-contractual relations. The project was organized by the SEU Law Club with the support of the Career Development and Alumni Relations Office.

SEU Hosted an Informal Networking Event for Partner Organizations
On June 25, SEU hosted an informal event for its partner organizations aimed at strengthening professional relationships, encouraging networking among partners, and facilitating the exchange of ideas in a friendly atmosphere. The event was actively attended by representatives from various SEU faculties, including academic staff and educational program coordinators. The meeting was organized by SEU’s Career Development and Alumni Relations Office, which actively collaborates with both local and international organizations to support students’ career paths and promote professional growth. SEU remains committed to expanding its network of partnerships and plans to continue organizing similar events in the future to further strengthen its ties with organizations and create more opportunities for students and alumni.

SEU hosted Scientific-Practical Student Conference “SEU ISSC S-2025”
On June 24, Georgian National University SEU organized the International Scientific-Practical Student Conference “SEU ISSC S-2025”. The conference was opened by the SEU Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, Professor Giorgi Ghavtadze. The participants were also welcomed by professors: Valeri Mosiashvili, Madona Kekelia, Teona Maisuradze and Sergo Chelidze. About 300 students from various higher educational institutions of Georgia participated in the conference. At the international student conference, students from higher educational institutions presented papers in the following areas: Business, Tourism, Economics, Management; Computer Science and Technologies; Law; Psychology; International Relations; Journalism; Medicine. The conference participants presented reports and discussed current interesting issues in a discussion format.

Meeting with the Organizational Team of the Alumni Association
On June 23, Liana Apakidze, Head of the Career Development and Alumni Relations Office, met with the Organizational Team of the Alumni Association. During the meeting, she introduced the Chairperson of the Association, Mariam Shekiladze. The main goal of the meeting was to plan the initial stage of the Association’s activities, determine the formats of joint work and set strategic directions for development. At the meeting, the members of the Organizational Team discussed the role and functions of the Association, also they put forward several initiatives that could become the basis for the Association’s future activities. Important issues were discussed, such as: • Formation of the Association’s action plan and determination of priorities; • Selection of effective channels of communication with the target audience; • Encouraging alumni engagement and planning information campaigns and more. During the meeting, the participants expressed their willingness to work together on establishing the association and to strengthen graduates' involvement in the university's activities.

Training on the topic: ‘’The Functions of an Executive Financial Director’’
On June 21, exclusive training on the topic: ‘’The Functions of an Executive Financial Director’’ will be held at Georgian National University SEU, led by an international business expert with 20 years of experience in project consulting - Paul Russel Clark, founder of TBSC. The training was attended by representatives of the partner company, academic staff of the university, and students. At the end of the training, the participants were awarded with dual-language certificates. The event was organized by the SEU Business Administration Program.

Domestic Championship in Badminton
On June 19-20, another domestic championship in badminton was held at Georgian National University SEU, which was organized by the Sports, Culture and Youth Organisations Relations Office and the Department of Student Affairs of SEU. This year, 32 teams participated in the Championship. 3 winners were revealed, who were awarded with symbolic rewards. It is noteworthy that SEU actively promotes healthy lifestyle and offers students the opportunity to participate in various sports events.
