Georgian National University SEU is pleased to announce an open competition for academic positions (Assistant Professor) at the Faculty of Business and Technologies, Master’s Program in Education Administration. 

Competition vacancies:

For the Master’s Program in Education Administration:

Assistant professor: 1 vacancy (with professional eligibility)

In order to participate in the competition, the contestant must meet the (academic / professional) requirements for the relevant competition vacancy, with the following criteria below:

For the academic position of an assistant professor with a professional eligibility:

• Master’s degree or equivalent academic degree;
• At least 3 years of work experience in the relevant field, related to practical operation in leading positions of the field (content of practical work can be specified based on the specifics of the program);
• Scientific publication(s) published during the last 10 years in the field of relevant educational course(s);
• Vision on academic activity;
• Submission of the syllabus(es) of the relevant course(s) under the educational program.
   

Additional criteria for academic staff:

• Practical experience in the relevant field;
• Participation in scientific conferences, scientific scholarships and grants;
• Participation in professional development activities;
• Proficiency in foreign languages.
  
  

List of documents to be submitted for the competition:

• Application for participation in the competition with referring to the relevant academic position and direction;
• Contestant form;
• Copy of ID card;
• Certificate of conviction for a crime against sexual freedom and inviolability
• Certificate of deprivation of the right;
• Qualification attesting educational documents (in case of education received abroad, it is necessary to submit a document certifying the recognition of education);
• Information on professional / scientific-pedagogical experience (it is necessary to submit the relevant certificate to confirm the work experience/duration provided by the vacancy);
• Information on published scientific papers, etc.;
• Vision on academic activity;
• English language proficiency document (if any);
• Syllabus(s);
• Documentation confirming the competitor’s compliance with the additional criteria.

Competition stages:

• Selecting the documents submitted by the contestants;
• Interviewing with the competition commission (might include a demo lecture).
  
  

Competition terms:

• The competition application and relevant documentation must be submitted within the deadlines.
• The commission is authorized to check the accuracy of the information and documentation submitted by the contestant and/or request the contestant to submit additional documentation. In case of request for additional documentation, the person will be admitted to the next stage of the competition, provided that the relevant documentation is submitted.
• Your resume submitted to Georgian National University SEU in accordance with the Law of Georgia on Personal Data Protection may contain personal data, including data of a special category. Please be informed that your personal data will be processed by Georgian National University SEU for the purpose of making a contract with you, including the decision to establish an employment relationship.
• The completion terms require the selected candidates to sign an affiliation agreement with the university.

Contestant selection terms: 

• The first stage: selecting the submitted documentation, determining the completeness of the documentation and the compliance of their applications with the main criteria;
• The second stage: the interview, the competition commission will assess the compliance with each of the main criteria of the contestant, and in case the number of contestants exceeds the number of relevant vacancies, the assessment of compliance with additional criteria will be initiated as well.
  
  

Competition deadlines:

• The competition is announced on May 31, 2022;
• Applications for academic positions will be accepted on July 4-12, 2022;
• The first stage of the competition for the selection of documents: July 13-14, 2022;
• Third stage of the competition – the nterview with the competition commission: July 15, 2022 (the exact date and time of the interview will be announced to the candidate after passing the first stage of the competition);
• Announcement of competition results: July 18, 2022
• Receipt of an appeal: till July 19, 2022;
• Review of appeals: July 20, 2022;
• Announcement of the final results of the competition: July 21, 2022.
