Director of the Center
Doc. Irakli Samkharadze
Ph.D. in Law, associate professor in the field of international law, director of the European Integration Research Center, Georgian National University SEU, LL.M. at the Erasmus University Rotterdam in the field of the international and public law of Europe.
Irakli Samkharadze has 10 years’ of scientific and professional work experience, both in Georgia and in Belgium and Germany. Currently he is the advisor of the German energy company – OMNIA GmbH in the field of energy across the region of South-East Europe. He has 6 years’ work experience at the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) and in different years, he held the positions at public and non-governmental organizations.
He performs active scientific work and he is the winner of numerous scholarships and grant competitions. Irakli is the researcher at the Sustainability College Bruges and he has published numerous scientific articles and works, both in Georgian and foreign printed and electronic publications and in peer-reviewed scientific journals. The most of his works include energy law, climate change, Europeanisation and the foreign aspects of the European Union law.
Coordinator of the Center
Lili Saladze is a graduate of the Faculty of Public Administration and Politics of the Grigol Robakidze University and she holds the bachelor’s degree in Public Administration.
While studying at the university, she was working on various projects related to such issues as: youth policy, involvement and participation in the legislative process. In 2021, Lili did an internship at the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia, where she participated in conducting the researches related to the school education and the accompanying processes.
Since 2022, Lili is a volunteer at the UNICEF and she participates in the planning of various projects, trainings and conferences related to the children’s rights, inclusive education and participation of the youth in social life. At the same time, Lili is the coordinator of the European Integration Research Center of the Georgian National University SEU and provides organizational support for the projects implemented by the Center.
