SEU - Georgian National University

On December 13, presentation of the book by Zurab Khonelidze: ‘’Georgian Peace Paradigm’’ will be held at Georgian National University SEU. 

The presentation will be held by the author of the book: Zurab Khonelidze – Rector of Sokhumi State University, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, President of the Georgian Academy of Pedagogical Sciences.

In his monograph the author offers society a new vision – ‘’University-Based Diplomacy’’ by merging diplomacy and education policy.

In the abovementioned work the new direction – ‘’University-Based Diplomacy’’, as a renewed mission of university, a modern form of building peace, a new type of international relations and diplomacy, is based on the centuries-old historical experience and sincere opinion originated from internal necessity.

The topics to be discussed during the session:

• Conception of ‘’University-Based Diplomacy’’;
• Report on the idea of the ‘’University-Based Diplomacy’’ and its theoretical and practical values;
• Georgian-Abkhazian Conflict; Review of the way of peaceful negotiations;
• Reconciliation and peaceful coexistence of Georgian and Abkhazian people;
