On February 3, public lecture will be held at SEU on the topic: “Digital Media and Manipulations”.
The aim of the training is to help journalists in well understanding and comprehension of those publicistic and manipulative techniques, using which certain authors try to form desirable social opinion. Also, to help them reveal, assess and classify the techniques of influencing the audience and manipulation.
Guest Speaker: Diana Liparteliani, Invited lecturer of the Georgian National University SEUDoctor of Social Sciences in Mass Communications, Chief Editor of the online publication ‘’Mkhare’’, producer of the political broadcast Post-Analytics.
The following issues will be discussed during the lecture: new and traditional media, similarities and differences; Techniques of using manipulative methods; social networks and manipulations;
New challenge of digital media – fake news; photo-video manipulations; infographics, animations, as effective tools of manipulation.

The lecture will provide significant assistance to those entrants, who are planning to enter the faculty of journalism.
