On December 1, Georgian National University SEU was visited by Denise Mattson, who directs the U.S. Embassy’s Media Education Program for grantee WorldChicago.
The program is designed to strengthen journalism in Georgia. It works with media schools at universities to introduce modern media standards. The project is funded by the US Department of State. Ms. Mattson was hosted by Vice-Rectors Goderdzi Buchashvili and Giorgi Ghavtadze, and Head of the Journalism Program Tinatin Zakarashvili at Georgian National University SEU.
Following the meeting, Vice-Rector Goderdzi Buchashvili and Head of the Journalism Program Tinatin Zakarashvili showed the guest around the SEU facilities and Journalism Media Lab. Future plans were discussed as well.
