From November 1 the Diagnosis-Related Group (DRG) Model for Services at medical institutions has started operating and the necessity of systemic understanding of the instruments, advantages and challenges of the DRG Funding Model in Georgia has become the issue of the day, in order to work better and more efficiently.

During two days, the managers of the inpatient facilities, the administrative personnel related to the provision and reporting of the medical services and the heads of the quality management service gained knowledge and practical experience in a pleasant environment in the direction of improving the management of clinical cases under the State Universal HealthCare Programme.

The training was conducted by the PhD student Maia Maghlakelidze-Khomeriki – the expert in universal health care and DRG, operational director of Geo Hospitals.

At the end of the training, each participant was awarded with a certificate.

It is noteworthy that the number of the training participants and clinical networks has been increased.
