A presentation of a collection of student articles on personal data protection issues was held

In cooperation with the State Inspector's Office and Georgian National University SEU, the presentation of the collection of student reports “Current Problems and Challenges of Personal Data Protection” was held.

The event was opened by State Inspector Londa Toloraia, Deputy State Inspector Salome Bakhsoliani and Georgian National University (SEU) Vice-Rectors Ana Pirtskhalashvili and Goderdzi Buchashvili.

The speakers congratulated the students on their successful participation in the project and spoke about the need for young people to be interested in personal data protection issues. They also stressed the importance of close cooperation between the State Inspector's Office and higher education institutions, as well as the importance of such collections.

The collection includes 12 papers prepared by students of various higher education institutions within the framework of the essay competition of the State Inspector's Office and Georgian National University SEU. The papers have been prepared on the following topical issues: protection of students' personal data during distance learning, protection of personal data of school students during distance learning, COVID-19 pandemic health data protection, COVID-19 pandemic online data protection, COVID-19 pandemic impact on data security, and dangers of sharing juvenile personal data on the Internet.

Salome Bakhsoliani, Deputy State Inspector, and Ana Pirtskhalashvili, Vice-Rector of Georgian National University SEU, talked to the students about the importance of the topics covered within the project and the role of young people.

In the final part of the event, the State Inspector and the SEU Vice-Rector handed over certificates to the successful participants of the student essay competition.
