On March 24, SEU hosted finance and investment expert from UK, Elena Keane who has conducted a Public lecture for students on Introduction to Different Types of Funds.
Elena Keane is a financial expert with over 15 years of experience in financial services. During this time she was able to build a successful career in the UK and today holds a leading position in one of the largest financial companies in the world. Elena advises companies on developing investment strategies and asset management.
During the lecture students learned about the basics of How funds work, What the differences are between unit trusts, Open-Ended Investment Companies (OEICs) , ETFs , hedge funds , investment trusts, how the funds depend on investment timeframe and approach to risk and much more.
