Panel discussion on “Key issues of Medical Law”

On November 11, Georgian National University SEU hosted a Panel discussion on “Key issues of Medical Law”.

As part of the event, lawyers of the Legal Aid Office, judges, practicing lawyers, academia and medical professionals discussed the following issues:

Informed consent of the patient;

• General and special standard of burden of proof disposition in medical disputes;
• The issue of determining the causal relationship in medical disputes;
• Medical error;
• Key issues of medical examination, cooperation with the court;
• Patient’s refusal to receive medical services;
• The issue of determining the causal relationship in medical disputes.
