On July 28, the ceremony of closing of the Georgian-German Summer School ‘’European Constitutional Values, National Constitutional Legal Order’’ and the awarding of German and Georgian participants with certificates was held at SEU.
70 Georgian and German law students participated in the Summer School, who had intensive working meetings with German and Georgian professors. The students analysed certain constitutional and legal topics in a comparative context and made presentations at the end of the event.
During 5 days they attended lectures at SEU, as well as at Caucasus International University and Ilia State University. The students also visited the Supreme Court of Georgia, the parliament and the Tbilisi City Assembly.
The aim of the Summer School was to share European values with law students and to discuss the issues related to legal state, democracy and human rights with them.

It is symbolic that at the closing ceremony of the Summer School, SEU granted the title of Honorary Doctorate to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany for his merit in terms of the integration of Georgia to the European Union.
