SEU Hosted a Competition Titled “I Write an Independent Essay”

Georgian National University SEU hosted the second, final round of the competition titled “I Write an Independent Essay” for high school students on October 24.

The competition was attended by high school students (tenth-twelfth graders) throughout Georgia. The author of the idea of ​​the competition was Gia Murghulia, Head of the Organizing Committee and Chairman of the Jury, Doctor of Philology, Specialist in Education and Member of the Board of Trustees of the Public Broadcaster. Famous teachers, writers, publicists, art critics, philosophers and historians were invited to the board of the competition jury.

The competition was held in two rounds. The competition will have 10 winners, of which the following will be determined:

• Three “best” participants: first, second and third place categories.
• The first place winner will receive a Lenovo V15, 15.6” laptop from SEU and a voucher for full tuition funding at SEU, while his/her Georgian language and literature teacher will receive 700 GEL.
• The second place winner will receive 500 GEL from SEU, while his/her Georgian language and literature teacher will receive 400 GEL.
• The third place winner will receive 200 GEL from SEU, while his/her Georgian language and literature teacher will receive 200 GEL.

Three “distinguished” participants (IV-VI place winners) and four “excellent” participants (VII-X place winners) will be awarded special diplomas and gifts.

The final results will be known in the near future.
