On October 25-29, 2021, Anna Phirtskhalashvili, Vice-Rector of Georgian National University SEU for Scientific Research, visited St. Gallen at the invitation of the Eastern Switzerland University and within the framework of the Swiss International Mobility Project (MOVETIA).
She was hosted by Yvonne Gassmann, Vice-Rector of the Eastern Switzerland University, Nadia Baghdadi, Head of the Department of International Affairs, Stive Stieler, Head of Social Work, and Professor Stephan Schlenker. Under the bilateral partnership, new, joint research projects with the involvement of the academic staff and students of SEU and the Eastern Switzerland University were discussed. She also had a working meeting with the Head of the Research Center, Stefan Köngeter and the university researchers.
In addition, Anna Phirtskhalashvili gave a speech to the university professors. She also delivered a public lecture to students at the Eastern Switzerland University.
The parties agreed that a bilateral agreement will be signed between the sides by the end of this year. A reciprocal visit to Georgian National University SEU was also arranged.
