Georgian National University SEU hosted the # 175 Tbilisi Public School students on December 14.
Nata Sukhashvili and Maka Papashvili, students of the Faculty of Law, provided the school students interested in the topic of local self-government with training in municipal law. Lecturer Nino Phurtskhvanidze spoke about the key issues of the local self-government law, and Mr. Kakhaber Labuchidze, Chairman of the Education and Culture Commission of the Tbilisi City Council, presented the practical experience of the City Council. He also spoke about the role of the citizen in the process of self-government as well as the challenges currently faced in this direction.
It should be noted that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between SEU and # 175 Public School on July 8, 2021, which includes supporting and developing curricula, sharing experiences between the parties in the field of education, promoting student professional orientation, etc.
