The Head of Program in Dentistry attended the annual ADEE meeting

The head of our Program in Dentistry Maia Jikia has attended the annual meeting of Association for Dental Education in Europe, held at the University of Liverpool, Great Britain. ADEE unifies leading universities, professional society, students, national associations and dental companies across Europe.
As a member university of the Association, SEU is actively involved in the activities of the organization. Ms. Maia has taken active part in the process of implementation of the WHO Oral Health Action Plan.
With the participation of the supervisor of SEU's Program in Dentistry, the committee has set a strategic plan, which will have positive impact on our Educational Program in Dentistry:
- The importance of inter-professional collaboration and the integration of preventive dentistry into the primary health care system in the draft of the Global Oral Health Action Plan (2023-2030) presented by WHO
- Collaborative education in the digital era and its impact on dental education
- To provide community graduates who will be able to meet the future oral health needs of the population.
- To set clear ethical requirements for medically justified treatment and not to create the necessity of treatment for marketing.
- Distribution of competences between dental therapist and oral hygienist at European and National level
